EDIT PGP - COMMAND LINE KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
Editing the PGP is a quick way to increase your speed in AutoCAD. Over the years, I have tweaked my PGP file to change and add shortcuts that make more sense to me or allow me to type with only my left hand (so I can keep my right on the mouse). To edit the PGP, click Tools > Customize > Edit Program Parameters (acad.pgp)
The PGP file will open up in the basic text editor. Scroll down to where the long list of shortcuts begins, after the section titled, "-- Sample aliases for AutoCAD commands --."
Here you can add or modify the shortcut commands. Follow the existing format, and make sure that your new command isn't already in use. When finished, save the file and close it. Back in AutoCAD, type REINIT (enter). In the box that opens, click the check box for PGP File and click the Ok button. Your new PGP file is now loaded.
This is a text version of the custom PGP file I use with AutoCAD 2010: 2010 Custom PGP
There are a lot of differences between the standard AutoCAD file and my file, especially with the basic commands.
To save it, right click on the link and select "Save Link/Target As..." If you want to use my file, either change the .txt extension to .pgp and place in the appropriate folder or copy and paste the text from my file to the PGP file opened through AutoCAD as described above.
